Thomas (Farmer) M. Latkanich, Jr., 62, of Belle Vernon was called by the Lord and the Angels of heaven on Saturday October 13, 2012. He was surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born June 4, 1950 in N. Charleroi, a son of Thomas M. and Margaret (Yuhasz) Latkanich of Monessen. Thomas was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He had a long work history, starting with the Boilermakers Local 154, in Pittsburgh and was the proud owner of Slammin Sammies restaurant and bar in Belle Vernon. He had a love for drag racing and building race cars, especially his 70 Chevelle. He enjoyed being with his family and most importantly the lights of his life, his grandsons Mikey and Marcus. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Joanne (Baron) Latkanich of Belle Vernon. His Mother, Margaret (Yuhaz) Latkanich of Monessen, his Daughter Rochelle Latkanich of Belle Vernon, his sons Thomas Michael Latkanich III and his wife Jenifer, of Belle Vernon, and Michael Latkanich and his wife Lisa of Belle Vernon. His grandsons Mathew Latkanich of Virginia, Michael and Marcus Latkanich of Belle Vernon and Scotty Chiocchio of Belle Vernon and his grand-dogs, Buddy and Bailey Latkanich of Belle Vernon. He is Preceded in death by his father, Thomas Michael Latkanich, Sr., his Uncle Douglas Paul Latkanich, his grandparents Michael and Sophia Latkanich and George and Susan Yuhaz, His mother and father in law, Putty and Jean Baron. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm. In the Robert A.
