Ruth (Selepchak) Matko

Ruth Matko, 85, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Monessen, PA, passed to her Eternal Rest on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.  Born August 15, 1931 in Monessen, PA, the daughter of the late George and Helen Selepchak. Ruth was an honors graduate of Monessen High School. Member, Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church. Member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 194 and the Monessen Croatian Club. Past President, Monessen Parent Teachers Association. She was formerly employed with attorneys, Judge Gilfert M. Mihalich and Albert C. Gaudio and in the Superintendent’s Office of the Monessen School District. Ruth enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandson, Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Matko. She is survived by daughters, Linda, of Indiana, PA; Lorraine (Daniel) Turkall of Mt. Lebanon, PA; and grandson, Daniel Turkall.
