Rita Marsha Rocereta

Rita Marsha Rocereta 81 of Monessen passed peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday February 16 in Hallsworth House. Born in Monessen on September 11, 1943 she was the daughter of the late James Woods and Rita Destefano Woods Henson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step father Alexander “Bud” Henson. Marsha attended both Slippery Rock and California Universities receiving a degree in Speech Pathology. She was a very active member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, belonging to Epiphany Ladies, Catholic Daughters of America, Catholic Business and Professional Women’s club, Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and served on the Epiphany church Pastoral Council. Marsha enjoyed meeting people working for Hallmark and Johnny Dees. She is Survived by her Husband Joseph G. “Jay” Rocereta, a son David Rocereta of Boyerstown, her daughter and son in law Lee Ann and Michael Caviris of Georgetown SC. four grandchildren Samuel, Sophia, Julia Rocereta and Abigail Caviris, one great grandson Leo Rocereta and her half- brother Mark Henson. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen. A blessing service will be held on Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a 10 am concelebrated funeral mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, interment will follow in St Hyacinth’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Hallsworth House.
