Mary Ann Mollard passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Florida on September 18, 2015. She was born at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital on November 27, 1937 and was the daughter of the late John and Ann Cheremsak. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mollard. She will be dearly missed by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Todd Yeager of Davenport, Florida, along with Itsy, her beloved dog of 15 years. She will also be remembered by her sister-in-law, Barbara Mollard of New Jersey, two brothers-in-law Walter "Earl" Mollard and George Fugo, both of Belle Vernon, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Monessen High School Class of 1955 and worked for the Monessen Federal Credit Union for several years. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church and the Slovak Society, and took great pride in her Slavik heritage. She enjoyed cooking her favorite ethnic dishes, listening to polkas, and dancing the Jitterbug.
When she wasn't chatting on the telephone or shopping at Peebles, some of her fondest times were spent diligently organizing class reunions with fellow committee members, and spending her mornings walking at WalMart with her friends, followed by breakfast at McDonald's with the gang.
Mary Ann always held a very special place in her heart for her family, pooches, and many close friends, whom she treasured dearly.
