Margaret H Komar

Margaret Komar 90, of Monessen, died Thursday 28, 2013, in Castleton, VA. Born in Monessen on April 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Anna Maksin Hornack. She was a member of St Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church and Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company. Mrs. Komar retired from the Mon Valley Health Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Komar; five brothers, John, Michael, Stephen, Albert and Joseph Jr. Hornack; and one sister, Anna Krusec. She is survived by her daughter Eileen Komar, her son Paul Komar, 5 Grand Children and 8 Great Grand Children one brother, Andrew Hornack of Monessen; one sister, Mary Lewis of Chicago, Ill., numerous nieces and nephews,. Friends will be received Monday April 1, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen.www.billicksfuneralhome.com Panachida services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by 11 am funeral services in St Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Monessen with Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating, entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations are to be made to the American Diabetes Association.
