Lorraine (Lazzari) Povich

Lorraine Lazzari Povich 95 of Monessen, died peacefully Wednesday, October 5, at Hallsworth House, Monessen. Born in Belle Vernon April30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Margaret (Ferrari) Lazzari. This gentle woman was a devoted member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Monessen where for many years enjoyed the giving of her time to funeral lunches, bake sales, fish fries and pierogi making. She was also a member of the Epiphany Ladies, the Italian-American Heritage Society and Annita Garibaldi Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George Povich, Jr. (1999), son in law Donald Dolnack, grandsons David and Stephen Dolnack, great granddaughter Annmarie Povich, infant brothers Alfred and Fritz and brothers Delmas and lloyd Lazzari. Lorraine will always be a lovingly cherished by her daughters Joan Dolnack of Rostraver, Carole Hudak (Jerome) of Bethel Park and son George M. Povich of Monessen; grandchildren Gregory Dolnack of Centerville, VA. Christopher Povich ( Victoria) of Conroe, TX. Leah Lonzo (Wille) of San Antonio TX, Michael Hudak (Stacey) of Bethel Park, Brandon Povich of Cranberry, Daniel Hudak of Bethel Park, Great-grandchildren Chelsea and Ryan Hudak of Bethel Park and Brandon K and Joseph Povich of Conroe TX., brother in law Charles Povich (Claire) of Monessen, sisters in law Dolores Ostetrico of Monessen Betty Joyce McGown of Monessen and Karen Povich if Finleyville Adeline Povich of Charleroi and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday from 1 until 3 and 6 until 8 pm. in the Robert A Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd. and Marion Ave Monessen. www.billicksfuneralhome.com A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
