Leona G (Giannini) Kuhn

Leona Giannini Kuhn, 96, of Belle Vernon passed away on June 22, 2016 at Mon Valley Care Center. Leona was the daughter of the late Annibale and Candida (Prioteschi) Giannini and was born on April 10, 1920. Mrs. Kuhn was a long time member of St. Sebastian’s Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She was a voracious reader, a talented knitter and seamstress, and a brilliant crossword puzzler. For many years she was a Brownie Scout leader. Mrs. Kuhn is the last of her siblings, having been predeceased by her brothers, Rolando, Baldo and Angelo Giannini and her sisters, Rose Sabol, Cecelia Giannini, Lillian DeMarino, and Geraldine Elyanich. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Tom) Stillitano, her son, John “Tim” (Lynn) Kuhn, her granddaughter, Lindsay Kuhn, and her dear friend, Linda Cernicky. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 until 4 pm 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A Billick Funeral Home Inc. A Blessing service will take place on Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass in Saint Sebastian's Roman Catholic Church with Monsignor Roger Statnick officiating interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
