Lawrence A Elyanich

Lawrence " Mooney" Elyanich 97 of Monessen on Friday January 15 2016 in Mon Valley Care Center. Born in Charleroi on December 12 1918 he was the son of the late Peter and Ann Lescanac Elyanich. Mooney was self employed operating several businesses in Monessen. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, C.F.U. lodge 194, and the American Legion Post 28. He was a US Army Veteran of WW II. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by his wife Geraldine Gerry Giannini Elyanich. He is survived by his daughter Candis Elyanich Kelley of Monessen, a niece Laurel and her husband Warren DaBria of Harrisburg NC and a Nephew Phil Mikan of Monessen friends will be received on Tuesday from 10 am until noon in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12pm in the funeral home with Fr. Michael Crookston officiating entombment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Monessen Public Library and Cultural Center or the Greater Monessen Historical Society.
