Kenneth R. McGee

Kenneth R. McGee 68, of Monessen on Sunday October 27 2013 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Monessen on July 5 1945 he was the son of the late Kenneth A. and Ann Strauss McGee. Kenny retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co. Monessen South West Railroad and the Monessen School District. He was a Life Member of Monessen Volunteer Fire Department #2, the Croatian fraternal Union lodge 194, the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church the American Legion Post 28 and the V.F.W. Post 1190. Ken served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife Joan McGee his two sons John K and Joseph R McGee all of Monessen. Two sisters and brother in laws Janet and Tom Barnhardt of Florida and Kathy and John Spangler of North Carolina.Kenny will also be missed by four dear friends Steve Beck, Joann Cocciolone, Norma Jean Morris and Bobby Jo Zupan. Friends will be received on Tuesday October 29 from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave. Monessen www.billicksfuneralhome.com . A Blessing will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church with Fr. James Bump Officiating interment will follow in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies National Cemetery.
