Judith L (Hammitt) Creevey

Judith L. Hammitt Creevey 58, of Monessen died on Tuesday, January 23 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital following a brain aneurysm. Born on June 6 1959, she was the daughter of Norman L and Vivian Harger Hammitt of Monessen. She is survived by her two sons Robert Creevey of Donora and Tim Creevey with whom she made her home, and a grandson Nicholas. Judy was a 1977 graduate of Monessen High School. Judy earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the California University of PA. She had a heart of gold and that was evident through her ability to counsel people in their time of need. Judy also had a passion for art and won several awards for her talents. In addition to her parents, sons and grandson, Judy is survived by her two brothers, Al Hammitt and Bill (Laura) Hammitt. She is also survived by six sisters, Paige (Roy) Bruno, Jan (Dan) Pieri, Jill Zenobi (Darryll Lenhart), Marcy (John) Karasek, Michelle (Brian) Federer, Terri ( Michael) Matsick and by numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband and soul mate Robert Creevey in 2003. She was also preceded in death by a very special nephew Mark Zenobi and her niece and Goddaughter Jennifer Oliver both in 2003. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10 am in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church 44 Penna. Blvd Monessen. Entombment will take place in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
