Joseph Rusnak was born on March 18, 1932 in Monessen, PA to John and Elizabeth Rusnak. He was the youngest of their 5 children. He was predeceased by his siblings John, Mary, Margaret, and Michael. He was a graduate of Monessen High School and served in the U.S. Army. On May 17, 1958, he married his wife Sonia and they moved to New York where they raised their four children. They spent the last 25 years living in Valley Stream, NY. His first job was in the Pittsburgh Steel Mill. He then spent more than 40 years as a milkman, eventually owning his own business Moo Moo Milk Corporation. He passed away suddenly on April 15, 2014. He is survived by his wife Sonia; his 4 children: Nina of Valley Stream, NY, Gregory and his wife Gillian of Cederhurst, NY, Elizabeth of Peekskill, NY, Maria and her husband Thomas of Mastic, NY; his 4 grandsons: Daniel, 29, Alexander, 24, Jeremy, 22, and Thomas Jr., 19; his granddaughter Ayeesha, 27; and two great-granddaughters: Kira, 8, and Layla, 2. Despite moving to New York, he was a lifelong Terrible-Towel-waving Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Friends will be received on Monday from 10 am until 12 am in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Dragan Filipovic officiating interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
