John (Buck) Haschets 91, of Monessen, on Saturday Jan. 2 2015, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Monessen on October 6 1923 he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Haschets. Buck served his country in the US Army during WW II. He retired from American Chain and Cable Monessen Plant and he was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church. John will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ann Hreno Haschets, three brothers Michael, Charles and Andrew and four sisters Anna, Mary, Sophia, and Julia. He is survived by a brother Samuel (Millie) Haschets of Cranberry Twp. A sister in law Anita Haschets of Colorado and three very special sisters in law Mary Pavlic of Monessen, Susan (Richard) Urko of Monongahela, Helen (Val) Veschio of Monessen numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 until 5 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave. Monessen www.billicksfuneralhome.com Services will be held on Monday begining with prayers at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by 10 am Funeral Services in St. John’s Russian Orthodox Church with Very Rev. Fr. Igor Soroka Officiating interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Parastas services will be held on Sunday at 3pm in the funeral Home
