Joan (Povich) Dolnack

Joan Dolnack 71 of Belle Vernon passed away on Sunday February 25 in Hallsworth House, Monessen after a serious illness. She was born in N. Charleroi on December 12 1946 and was the daughter of the late George and Lorraine (Lazzari) Povich Jr. After the death of her beloved husband of 34 years, Donald J Dolnack (2003) in Herndon VA., she relocated to Belle Vernon. As a devoted member of the Church of St. Anne of Belle Vernon, she assisted with funeral luncheons, parish activities, and belonged to the Christian Mothers. Joan also participated in the Rostraver Library Book Club and was a loyal volunteer at the Monessen St. Vincent de Paul Society. Besides her parents and husband she was proceeded in death by two sons David and Stephen. She is survived by her son Gregory Dolnack of Centreville VA. a sister Carole (Jerome) Hudak of Bethel Park, a brother George M. Povich of Monessen and a sister and brother in law Patricia (Charles) White of Manassass VA. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, all of her family members and friends. The family wishes to thank Hallsworth House and OSPTA Hospice of Belle Vernon for their tender care. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd. and Marion Ave. Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:15 am in the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass in St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Vincent Gigliotti Officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation 10701 Parkridge Blvd. Suite 170 Reston VA 20191 or a Children's hospital of their choice.
