James E Billick, 85 of Monessen passed away Tuesday January 22, 2013 in his home. Born in Monessen on February 11, 1927 he was the son of the late James and Anna Gosdonovich Billick. James retired from The Pennsylvania Turnpike and was the former manager of Park Shoes in White Hall..Uncle Jim also worked with his father at Tri City Auto Parts in Monessen. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church , the Monessen Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 194, and the Croatian Club where he served many years as treasurer. He served his country in the US Navy during WW II and Korean Conflict. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by his two brothers Edward and Robert Billick and a niece Debra Billick. He is survived by three nephews Edward and Jacquelyn Billick, of Charlotte NC, Timothy J and JoAnn Billick of Monessen and Robert and Lori Billick of Monessen, two nieces Carol and Alan Doman of Bentleyville and Mary Kay and Joseph Orso of Williamsport PA. Great nephews and nieces Amanda ( Steve) Lucchino, Christopher and James Doman, E. Jason and Michelle Billick, Emily and Joey Orso , Erica and Chelsey Billick and Robert II and James M Billick, And two sisters in law Clarita and Nancy Billick both of Monessen. Friends will be received on Thursday January 24, 2013 from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. and cremation service Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen (724) 684-3700 www.billicksfuneralhome.com A blessing will be held on Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
