George A. Ursinyi 89 of Monessen on Tuesday November 22 2016 in Hallsworth House Monessen. Born in Monessen on September 2 1927 he was the son of the late John and Susan Hlavacik Ursinyi. He was a Member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church and a former member of the American Legion Post 28. George served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 42 years from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co. working as a motor inspector. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by three sisters Mary Mervinsky, Helen Heald and Margaret Wissinger and three brothers Steve Hlavacik, Edward Ursinyi and infant brother John. A granddaughter Jennifer Farrell. He is survived by his wife Helen Yartin Ursinyi, three daughters and two sons in law Janet Ursinyi of Mentor Ohio, Debra and Terry Farrell of Speers and Kathleen and Raynond Marshman of McDonough GA. Four grand children Jeremy (Lindsay) Farrell, Mark Farrell, Katelyn (Jeremy) Walker and Ryan Marshman. Two great grandchildren Averie Walker and Marlowe Farrell. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 until 7 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Sam Smolic officiating interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Parastas services will be held on Sunday at 6 pm in the funeral home.
