Francis J. Baumgardner, 83, of Monessen, passed away on February 13, 2018 at Southwestern Healthcare Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born on March 12, 1934 in Nanticoke Pa son of the late Norman and Mary (Miszczuk) Baumgardner. . He was a graduated of Rostraver High School. Francis worked as a Machinist for Halmar Machine of Bethel Park. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, the Croatian Club, and a co-owner of The Gibson Seven Hunting Club and a was A US Army Veteran. Francis is survived by his loving spouse Gail (Francis) Baumgardner,daughter, Karen (Shawn) Reed of Coraopolis, PA; son, Eric Baumgardner (Assia) of Annandale, VA; grandson, Omar Baumgardner; granddaughter, Olivia Baumgardner; sister, Veronica Matson of Belle Vernon, PA; brother, David (Nancy) Baumgardner of Canonsburg, PA; step brother, John (Joyce) Wassilchak; Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Stone Friends will be received on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 until 8:00 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc., Grand Blvd. & Marion Avenue Monessen, Pennsylvania. A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 am in Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord with Fr. Michael J. Crookston, officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
