Frances A. Pappas, of Monessen, died in her home Sunday, April 15, 2018. The daughter of the late Frank and Ann (Hornack) Krusec, she had just celebrated her 82nd birthday on April 12, 2018. Frances was retired from Union Cleaners, where she had been employed many years as a shirt presser. She kept busy during her retirement, spending time with friends and family, particularly her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Patrick, and Gracelyn Foster of Ohiopyle. She was a lifelong member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen, and its Catholic Daughters of the Americas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lefteris “Lefty” Pappas, in 1989; and a brother John Krusec. ‘Bubba Frannie’ is survived, in addition to Hannah, Patrick and Gracelyn, by a daughter, Debbie (Doug) Hearn of Hopwood; 3 grandchildren, Christopher (Chetora) Foster of Eure, N.C.; Joseph (Amy) Foster of Ohiopyle; and Philip (Amanda) Foster of Gates, N.C.; and 9 great-grandchildren, including Colin of Washington state; J.C. and Jaylin of Eure; and Preston, Bailey and Marlin of Gates. Friends will be received Sunday April 22 from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave. Monessen. The Catholic Daughters of America will hold services Sunday at 3 pm in the funeral home.
