Evelyn G (Fabian) Fabian

Evelyn G. Fabian passed away peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Country Care Manor in Fayette City. Born Nov. 29, 1930 in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late Michael A. and Anna M. Stasko Fabian. Miss Fabian was a lifelong resident of Monessen, residing on Clarendon Avenue since the early 1940s. She was a communicant of the former Holy Name Church and a current member of Epiphany Church. She was employed at Olsavik’s Market and Monessen Laundromat. She worked at the Monessen No. 1 Fire Department’s and Holy Name Church’s bingos for many years. She was happiest when helping others and was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt. She was also a loving niece and close friend of the late Norma Jean Fabian. Miss Fabian looked forward to the birth of her great-great niece, Baylee Beneke in Manhattan, Kansas. She could not wait to “hold the baby,” a wish that was fulfilled. Miss Fabian was a member of the Mon Valley Coin Club and enjoyed the family’s Shetland Sheepdogs. She is survived by her nephew Edward L. Mazur of Monessen, and nieces Bernice Mazur Koharchik of Manhattan, Kansas, and Elaine T. Mazur of Reston Virginia, two great-nieces and nephews, a great-great-niece and great-great nephew, cousins Karen Fabian Katsuleres of Monessen and Janice Fabian of Coram, New York. Preceding her in death were her brother, Andrew E. Fabian and sister Betty A. Fabian Mazur. The family would like to thank the owner, staff, and residents of Country Care for the love and care they have shown Miss Fabian over the last three years. Billick Funeral Home Grand Blvd. and Marion Ave Monessen www.billicksfuneralhome.com. A Blessing will be held on Friday at 11 am in the funeral home followed by an 11:30 am Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church with FR. Michael Crookston Officiating interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery
