Elliott “Bud” L. Bianchi 94 of Belle Vernon on Thursday December 25 2014 in his home. He was born in Millvale PA on April 19 1921. He was the son of the late Richard and Teresa Bianchi. The Bianchi family owned and operated Bianchi Monument in Monessen for many years. Elliott was a graduate of Monessen High School Class of 1939. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Philippine Islands. He was a member of the American legion Post 28 and the V.F.W. Post 1190, where he served as Commander for a number of years. After the war Elliott was employed by Page Steel and Wire and served as union President for local 1391 for 15 years. He was also on the board and served as President for the Monessen Public Library in the 1960’s. After Page Steel closed in the 1970’s he accepted a position with the government working for HUD, where he worked until the death of his wife, June Ross Bianchi in 1982. Besides his parents and his wife he was proceeded in death by five brothers Rick, Leo, Walter, Garrett and Thomas Bianchi and two sisters Alice Boyd and Helen Loverix. He is survived by two sons and daughters in law Elliott R and Joanne Bianchi of Donora and Alan Lee and Judy Bianchi of Perryopolis. His life mate of 25 years, Marlene Hixenbaugh. Seven grandchildren, Danielle (Don) Cole, Kirk (Ann) Bianchi, Jeff (Rosemary) Bianchi, Tanya (Dane) Chester, Amie Hoadwonic, Bradley and Adam Kozusko. Thirteen Great grandchildren Tyler Chausienand, Joshua Chausinand, Micheal Cole, Cole Bianchi, Alina Bianchi, Olivia Bianchi, Mary Katherine Bianchi, Shane Bianchi, Chase Bianchi, Haley Bianchi, Kevin Hoadwonic Jr., Kaylee Bowser and Krystin Bowser. One brother Leonard Bianchi of FL. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave. Monessen. www.billicksfuneralhome.com Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 am in the funeral home with Fr. Pierre Falkenhan officiating interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The American Legion Post 28 and the VFW Post 1190 will hold joint services on Monday at 7pm in the funeral home.
