Carol J. Sokolski

Carol J. Sokolski 69 of Monessen on Monday September 24 2012 in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. Born in Charleroi Pa. on Jan. 3, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Kowalski Sokolski. Carol was catholic by faith. She was a class of 1960 graduate of Monessen High School and received her Doctorate of Law Degree from Duquesne University in 1975. Carol has been a practicing Attorney in Monessen since 1975, she served as Hearing Officer for the Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas, a member of the Westmoreland County Bar Association. and the Washington Area Humane Society. Carols life was filled with gardening, love of animals and helping others that were sick or lonely. She is survived by her sister Patricia Solkolski of San Francisco CA. and four loving cats. Friends will be received on Friday from 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd. and Marion Ave. Monessen (724) 684-3700 www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral home with Fr. James Bump Officiating, interment will follow in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery Monessen.
