Carl Swade

Carl Anthony Swade 86 of Monessen on Sunday March 13 2016 in Hallsworth House. Born in Brownsville on August 18 1929 he was the son of the late Andrew G. and Pauline Pustinger Swade.  Carl was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church, the Mon Valley Slovak Cultural Society, the Greater Monessen Historical Society. He is survived by two sisters and a brother in law Susanna Swade and and Pauline and John Zilka both of Monessen. A nephew David and his wife Karen Zilka of Belle Vernon anda niece Kathy and her husband Mark Vlanich of Raleigh N.C. Four great nieces and nephews Bridget Zilka, Nicole Vlanich, Justin Vlanich and Jacob Vlanich. Private family visitation and funeral services were held on Wednesday in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen with Father Michael Crookston officiating interment followed in Holy Name Cemtery Monessen
