Anna Janicki 93 of Monessen passed away on August 23 2017 in a local hospital . Born and raised in Monessen she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kobal Pinasko. She worked at the A & P grocery store in Monessen in the meat department. She was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church where she married her late husband Mickey Janicki. she served as past president of St John's ladies Auxiliary for several years. She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary Post 1190 ( Monessen) where she served as past president for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 484 ( Fayette City). Besides her parents she was proceeded two brothers John and Andrew Pinasko and a step sister Alma Cekola. She is survived by her only daughter Jacqueline Janicki of Monessen. Two sisters Verne Janosik and Dorothy (Mario) Santo Columbo both of Monessen. One brother Andrew Pinasko of Belle Vernon . A brother in law Thedore "Teddy" Janicki of Greensburg. Nieces and nephews Roxanne Janosik of Greensburg, Chrissy Rhome of Boca Raton FL, Robin Janosik of Monessen, Joseph and Cheri Janoski of Monessen, Julis and Penny Santo Columbo of W VA. Mark Santo Columbo of Monessen, Mario and Anna Marie Santo Columbo of Monessen , Andrea and Dave Trenk of Latrobe, Mary Catherine Janicki of Greensburg, Elsie Miller of Moon Twp, Alma and Herny Studnicky of Belle Vernon and Wayne Cekola of Washington. And many Janicki nieces and nephews and other out of state relatives. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Prayers will be held on Monday at 9:30 am in the Funeral Home Followed by 10 am Funeral Services in St. John the Divine Orthodox Church with Rev Fr. Constantine Kurkin Officiating interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Panachida will be held at 6 pm on Sunday in the Funeral Home.
